Some customers have contacted us about using the Cole Jaws with the G3 Chuck, how in some circumstances the Tbar handle for the chuck gets in the way when tightening the jaws while the chuck is mounted on the lathe spindle.
The Tbar handle (48203) cross piece can slide in the handle shaft. It has knurled etching around the center to hold it in place when it is pressed into the top of the shaft. Mount the shaft in a vise horizontally with the cross piece vertical in the jaws of the vise. Tap firmly with a plastic or wooden mallet.
