This FAQ lists the guide for mounting for the new PRO-TEK series jaws.
All PRO-TEK jaws are designed to be mounted in a clockwise direction EXCEPT for the following SKUs:
Counter-clockwise mounted Jaws:
- SKU: 6075 - PRO-TEK 50mm (2”) Jaw set with laser markings
- SKU: JS100N - Nova 100mm (4”) Bowl Jaw set with laser markings
- SKU: JS130N - Nova 130mm (5”) Bowl Jaw set with laser markings
- SKU: JS20N - Nova Mini 20mm (.78”) Jaw set with laser markings
- SKU: JSPIN - Nova 17mm (.669”) Pin Jaw set with laser markings
- SKU: PJSN - Nova PowerGrip Jaw set with laser markings
NOTE: To mount the Jaws listed above, please refer to “FAQ – Compatibility between Nova series and new PRO-TEK series chucks and jaws (For Listed SKUs)”
All PRO-TEK jaws (excluding the ones listed) should be mounted in a clockwise direction regardless of the numbers on the jaw slides.
This means for PRO-TEK series chucks, the numbering on the jaws will be mounted in the opposite direction to the number on the jaw slides.
For Nova series chucks, the numbering on the jaws will be in the same clockwise direction as the number on the jaw slides.
