Verify metal to metal is locked in place.  Why? While the wires are connected to the correct posts on the switch, the post may not be properly inserted into the connector of the blue wire, but rather between the connector and the rubber insulator.  Also silicon glue, which was used to secure the wires in place on the switch post, may cause an intermittent open circuit.  You may cleaned the glue from the switch post and properly attached the connector.
