Can the drill press be converted to 230V easily? Also, will this increase the HP from 1.75 to 2.0? Most of my 115V outlets in the garage are GFI and the machine does not tolerate it and blows the safety. I have plenty of 230 outlets so I would like to use those.

A bit late to the party, but I found the answer in the solutions tab on this site. Seems like just a simple plug swap.
