This article shows the solution to the problem where the motor stud nuts have loosened on the NOVA 1624-II lathe.
The probable cause of this problem is the studs not being fully tightened down (secured into place). This then leads the nuts to experience a greater than normal amount of vibration, leading to them loosening.
